特種用途的單組分MS密封膠，早期多采用換罐式間歇法生產工藝。在生產過程中難免短時間接觸空氣，勢必給最終產品性能和儲存穩定性都帶來不良影響。頻繁的設備更換和清洗、尤其對粘稠物料的清理，不僅影響生產效率，又因使用并消耗數量可觀的溶劑，既危害操作環境又增加生產成本。
為了解決上述課題，各設備制造廠家提出多種方案。實踐結果表明，德國斯沃德(Schwerdtel)公司率先從解決配色問題著手，選用靜態混合裝置，既可保證物料在密閉條件下充分混合，又克服了因機械混合使物料溫度超過填充劑表面材質承受溫度極限值等技術難題。SD-K型機組是在密封管道中完成配膠和調色全過程。操作人員只要將準確的配方參數，在移動式操作臺上輸人，就可以連續不斷地生產出品質均一的單組分MS密封膠產品。
SD-K型機組的靜態混合腔內的物料，由18MPa液壓站提供充足的推動力。交聯劑、固化劑、增粘劑、穩定劑和各種色漿等成分，在進人混合室之前，均在獨立的貯罐中密封保存。進料比例依靠注壓泵活塞的直徑進行調節，計量調節范圍為1.29%一8.99%，可滿足生產品種僅數十種產品制造商的要求。
如圖1所示，SD-7K是將MS密封膠的七種成分，通過統一的液壓系統注人混合室完成MS密封膠配置工序。SD-7KV改為每種成分由單獨液壓罐提供推力，完成混合和配色全過程。
繼SD-K機和SD-7KV機型后，當代最先進的生產裝置—SD-XKV自動化生產線2004年已粉墨登場。其突出特征是在每個助劑罐上裝有獨立的注壓計量系統，為防止顏料沉降，罐內附有攪拌器。增加一個混合室后，就可以將原有6個助劑罐擴展為13個。每種成分調節范圍可達0.0115% ,計量精度明顯提升達0.01%。
